In the urban road network, when the signal is near the intersection with a separate control,it will lead to a red light conditions, often encountered the vehicle, and resulted in frequentstop and start. This operation not only results in excessive time delays, wastes fuel, and willincrease noise pollution and road damage. In order to reduce the delay time of vehicles tokeep roads clear of vehicles, the roads near the intersection on the link for coordination andcontrol, that is, coordination and control lines, which is commonly referred to as "wire".Based on the above situation, this paper aims to solve the traffic flow and the spatial andtemporal continuity of the intersection of "fragmentation" of the conflict between the isolatedcontrol, the adjacent intersection control system as a route for the coordination and controlresearch. This first phase of traffic signal control signal, the basic control parameters andevaluation indicators to analyze the theoretical basis to introduce the traditional methods ofsignal timing; and unbalanced distribution of traffic flow for the city, the traditionalsingle-loop structure of signal timing will the public phase of a phase can not take fulladvantage of all the phase green time, green signal time for the phase problem of lowefficiency, the introduction of a new single point of signal timing method, that is double-loop(Dual Ring) structure of the NEMA phase (National Electrical Manufacturers AssociationPhase) of the phase sequence optimization; the next phase of the NEMA phase sequenceanalysis of the impact of optimization, the establishment based on double-loop (Dual Ring)structure of the mixed traffic environment, the Green Wave with a model of bi-directionalsignal lines.Finally, Nanchang Bayi Avenue intersection on the traffic trunk case studies, the use ofsimulation software to simulate Vissim by Bayi Avenue-Ruzi Road, Bayi Road-ZhongshanRoad, Bayi Avenue-Minde Road, eight First Avenue-the intersection of Nanjing Road West,four linkage simulation to compare the status quo, bicyclic structure of the trunk signalcoordination control scheme, simulation results obtained by the intersection of the delaycomparison, evaluation, examples of this research results.
