Abstract/Summary:
In recent years, thin-walled concrete-filled steel tube column have been widely used inmany types of building structures and bridges, owe to its good mechanical properties andconstruction performance. While, the earthquake damage shows that the local buckling andthe seismic capacity of post-buckling performance of thin-walled tube are poor. A new-stylethin-walled corrugated steel concrete column is proposed, it can take the advantages ofthin-walled steel and concrete into fully play, which also further improves the mechanicalproperties, especially the ductility and the energy dissipation capacity of the original thin-wallcorrugated steel tube concrete columns.In this paper, properties of on the local buckling of thin-walled corrugated concrete-filledsteel tube from theoretical study under cyclic loading; and the finite element softwareABAQUS is used to analyze the impact parameter when the thin-walled concrete-filled steeltube column occurs local buckling, the following four areas have been done:1. Summed up the steel concrete column buckling research results at home and abroad,and determine the elastic thin plate theory and finite element software ABAQUS to analyzethe thin-walled corrugated concrete-filled steel tube for the local buckling.2. The use of elastic thin plate theory to derive the critical bearing capacity formula that athin-walled corrugated concrete-filled steel tube occurs the local buckling under cyclicloading. Use the energy method of elastic thin plate theory to derive it, use the matlabsoftware to calculate them, and derive the formula with the experimental results werecompared to verify the derived formula is more realistic.3. The trial of two thin-walled corrugated concrete-filled steel tube for the finite elementsimulation, obtained the capacity variation when occur the local buckling under cyclic loading,and it indicates that the finite element model is correct by comparing with the experimentalresults.4. The finite element software ABAQUS is used to simulate the relevant parameters thatthe impact of thin-walled corrugated concrete-filled steel tube column when occur localbuckling, and draw the impact of relevant laws: with the width to thickness ratio increase, thebuckling load is basically gradually decrease; but when the width to thickness ratio between61and70, the buckling load have a tendency increase; with the steel strength increase, thebuckling load decrease; when the concrete strength increase, the buckling load is not largechange, the buckling load had little impact; with length to width ration increase, the bucklingload have a tendency decrease.
