Large numbers of forest resources are burned because of forest fire occurs everyyear in our vast expanse of forest. As quickly control and extinguish fire can reducethe loss of forest resources. In order to meet the requirements of extinguish fire in theforest in our motherland. The urgent thing need to do is to develop an Air Tanker. Thebeginning of establishment and development of our national Air Tanker will make upthe status of no Air Tanker in our country, and it will provide a new approach toChina’s forest fire fighting. As an Air Tanker, the drowning system is the mostimportant part in the entire aircraft system. And as the core of the drowning systemthe algorithm for dropping water act a more important role. Drowning system cancalculate the best delivery point location based on aircraft flight altitude, speed,heading and the wind speed and direction near the fire. And it will provide correctionof the heading numerical value and the time needed to get the current target, also itcan guide aircraft to reach the best launch point for water delivery and predict theextinguishing effect. This article has proposed an effective algorithm for droppingwater after study the fire-fighting aircraft drowning process. The algorithm fordropping water provides a scheme for the design of drowning system for our nationalAir Tanker. That will promote the development of the project about our national AirTanker.Firstly, according to the CCRP aiming principle, free turbulent jet theory andraindrop falling principle to establish the water delivery model, water in the airmotion model and the extinguishing effect analysis model, according to theestablished model establishes the large-size aircrafts for extinguishing fire in aalgorithm; then using Matlab7.0to calculate the displacement and falling water falltime, obtained in different diameters, drowning weight, wind field under theconditions of the point position and the extinguishing effect; according to a algorithmfor the design of large-size aircrafts for extinguishing fire water system, and itprovides a data form about the fall time of the water and the journey without wind,also it gives the display format on the HUD screen about the parameters ofcollimation and the extinguishing effect.According to the Matlab7.0calculated data with Y-12aircraft the field testcomparison of records, the a algorithm good fire extinguishing effect on Y-12aircraftfire extinguishing effect, reflect the superiority of the algorithm. The algorithm calculates the parameter values for the actual design, a method provides theoreticalreference value, for large-size aircrafts for extinguishing fire water system design hasthe very important significance, will promote China’s development of large-sizeaircrafts for extinguishing fire.
