While in the process of towing, jacket suffer from the high frequency of wind loads. It will be lead to wind-induced vibration easily, and then there may appear fatigue damage for the structure of jacket. In the analysis of the article, the main research topic of the thesis is the structure of jacket and its welds in tubular joint,and then determine the damping effect on their dynamic behaviors and fatigue life, which is intended to explore possible ways to deal with the issue that once fatigue damage occurred when jacket structure in the process of towing as for wind-induced vibration.The paper puts forward the problem of wind-induced vibration. The outlet dimension and their characteristic of jacket determine that wind load is the main governing load when jacket is in the process of towing. While the rapid advance of science and technology, the structure of jacket develop towards the direction of higher strength and less weight, and it will lead that the immediate intensity failure is not increasingly becomes the main cause of structure failure, yet makes possible greater in fatigue failure.The paper uses the finite element software of SESAM as a main computational tool, establishes the model of the lower structure of jacket platform. According to the requirement of the specifications, the appropriate optical parameters of wind load, considering the damping of their own material and the surrounding medium, calculating the damage degree and fatigue life of the structure of jacket and its welds in tubular joint when they are exposing cyclical wind loading. This dissertation exploration offers some possible improvement research methods about wind-induced vibration of high-rise structures, such as jacket platform, this makes the research of fatigue about wind-induced vibration pertinence and more precise, and it has good reference and directive significance towards how to restrain the vortex-induced vibration when cylinders are exposing on the high cyclical levels wind loading.
