Short-tunnel filling system is use for irrigation of dock which depend on the inside and outside the water level, compared with other filling system has advantages such as simple construction and so on. Widely used in new large manufacturing and maintenance dock in our country and others. It is necessary to do the hydraulic model test after the design because of the disorder of fluid in it To test after valve negative pressure, irrigation time, water flow coefficient and hydraulic index could meet the requirements, otherwise should improve the filling system and to experiment again This paper describes and summarized different kind of filling system, and based on the test of LiaoYu’s dock, analysis the Flow coefficient after setting the wall hole. Come to a conclusion that the Modification plan make less influence to the filling system.By employing RANS method and RNG k-εturbulence model, this paper set up the mathematical model of 3D flow in siphon passage. Adopt the SIMPLE algorithm to coupled the Pressure and speed, on the basis of using the method of numerical calculation on the flow coefficient of the corridor, and compared with the test value, the Calculation and experimental value of Flow coefficient correspond very well when Single corridor running,so it is feasible to calculate the flux of irrigation by discharge coefficient solved by numerical computation. The paper also study the flow field in short-tunnel filling system, on different water level the pressure calculated by numerical simulation and pressure measured by model test coincide well. The above study indicates that the numerical simulation can forecast occur of cavitations of valve. At the end this paper analyzes the distribution of turbulent kinetic energy and turbulent kinetic energy dissipation rate, come to a conclusion that the Kinetic energy is mainly dissipated in inletwell.
