While the economic conditions improving, people can get enough cold and warmas they want; at this time, they begin to pursue healthy and comfortable indoorenvironment. In the air conditioning and heating seasons, People generally close doorsand windows, the room is inclosed, and there is no fresh air to supply for indoor. If airconditioning is opened for a long time, the indoor air will get poor quality, and it cancause all kinds of "Air Condition Disease". Therefore, it is necessary to take reasonablemeasures, so as to improve the indoor air quality. The natural ventilator uses naturalventilated principle, can assure indoor ventilated and control the ventilation quantity, soit can well solve the conflict of "opening window to ventilate" and " energy efficiencyof buildings". With People’s awareness of energy saving and the indoor air qualityrequirements improved, natural ventilators will be more and more extensive applied inthe residential buildings. Therefore, the research on ventilation properties of the naturalventilaors will have important practical significance.This topic belongs to construction science and technology plan projects of ChongQing. For the delegation of China Coal Technology&Engineering Group, Chong QingDesign&Research, it is studied that the ventilation properties of the selected severaltypical natural ventilators, and aspects of work is mainly carried out, as follow:①As a questionnaire way, it is understood that the use time of air conditioningequipment, ventilation condition and indoor air environment and so on in someresidences of Shapingba district of ChongQing; Domestic and foreign relevant materialis consulted about, in order to know about the working features of natural ventilatorsand the method of analysis and evaluation on indoor air quality; It is the ventilationproperties of natural ventilators under the action of thermal pressure that we mainlyresearch, so on the basis of the analysis of relevant theoretical research and applicationcases of thermal pressure natural ventilation, the theoretical calculation on thermalpressure ventilation of the natural ventilators is conducted;②It is difficult to do the experiment by the changeful outdoor weather conditions,so in order to get the performance of the ventilators, it is needed to create a united,stable environment. Therefore, this paper designs the thermal pressure ventilationexperiment system. On the experimental system, the ventilation quantitys of severalnatural ventilators are tested. And the thermal pressure ventilation quantitys of the natural ventilators under a certain height of installation were got, when the temperaturedifference is from6℃to10℃between indoor and outdoor;③According to the measured data of the thermal pressure ventilation quantitys ofthe ventilators, it is calculated that the ventilation quantity of the ventilators per unitarea, the flow coefficient and the ventilation quantity of the window ventilators per unitlength, then compare the ventilation performance of the ventilators. Then compare themeasured thermal pressure ventilation quantitys with the theoretic calculation. Get andextend the specific calculation formula of thermal pressure ventilation quantitys foreach kind of natural ventilators. Map out the relation curves between the thermalpressure ventilation quantitys of ventilators and different vertical distances and differenttemperature differences of inside and outside, which provides reference for design andselection of natural ventilators in the residential buildings;④Taking a air conditioning room installed culvert ventilators as the researchobject, from the angle of ventilation quantity and indoor air distribution, analyze theindoor air environment when the room is closed, only one group of ventilators is openand two groups of ventilators are open.The result shows that using natural ventilators inresidential buildings can reduce the interior CO2concentration and other pollutantsconcentration and make the indoor air fresh. So it can improve the indoor air quality in acertain extent.
