Fly ash in powder state, is one of China’s major industrial solid waste.The emissions of fly ash is in the form of dry and wet.The nature of dry fly ash is stable, most of them are used as construction materials.Most of wet fly ash are stacked, the nature wet fly ash is not only related to the nature of fly ash, but also related to the kind of water and the time of stacking. Common soil is strengthened by putting high tensile strength geosynthetics into it to form composite soil, or called reinforced soil. Reinforcement technology has been widely applied to various engineering including hydraulic building, road and railway construction,coal mining and architecture etc, because of its contribution to the improvement in soil strebgth and stability. In recent years,although there have many engineering practicesand some theoretical progresses in reinforcement technology, few research results about its use in wet fly ash have been reported as yet.Geo-grid is a new type of geosynthetics with more advantages over previous ones including uniformity, high deformation module and tensile strength, great toughness,light weight, corrosion-proof, great interaction with soil grains and instantaneous reinforcement effect etc. In view of these mentioned characteristics, it has been considered the main reinforcement material among others. This paper deals mainly with the disposal of wet fly ash of Huangdao power plant,selecting realistic engineering geogrid-reinforced materials,using the creep test and pull-out test study the actual stress state of the geogrid with a certain moisture content in the Fly Ash.Through the research, the specific work to be completed as following:(1) More comprehensive exposition of the studying status quo of the geogrid creep test and pull-out test, introduced engineering applications characteristics of geogrid and fly ash.(2) Completing geogrid creep experiments in the air and in the fly ash,the geogrid drawing experiment in the fly ash.(3) Through experimental data analysis, studying the creep behavior of long-term of geogrid in system, summing up the interface characteristics between the geogrid and fly ash, providing intentional reference for the application of geogrid in the fly ash structures.
