Climate conditions and natural environment is always changing, human society is developing. In this changing background conditions, we put forward higher request to architecture design. Today, building is no longer a fixed object, building activities also is no longer once and for all. It should constantly change with the external conditions, in order to achieve the coordinated development of the architecture and society and the natural harmonious, realize sustainable development strategic objectives. So we need to develop responsive architecture, research and exploration on responsive design is imminent.This article gets started from the concept of the responsive architecture. First, analyzes the causes of the responsive architecture, historical development and also the future direction and target, then discusses some big attribute of responsive architecture, analyzes the characteristics of the responsive architecture respectively from the climate, biological and resources. And then the paper introduces the different ways to realize responsive architecture, mainly from the technical means and creative methods, and finally examples a foreign successful design:Egypt small village design, analysis and discussion the design method of responsive architecture, let us have a more thorough understanding of the responsive architecture, and summarize the article.Architecture responsive kinetic performance becomes one of the means with which society builds its own sustainability. Social systems must be allowed to achieve sustainability, and the built environment can contribute to solving the problem by being responsive to people. What architects can do is to create a built environment which stimulates the ecosystemic behavior of society, allowing a healthy relationship between people, social capital and natural capital.
