The research object of this paper is an UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) based on TVC(ThrustVectoring Control). For this purpose, a new type of propeller is designed. And with this actuator, UAVflight performance is improved. So it’s necessary to study the control strategy of this new configuration.In this paper, different strategies are designed to solve flight control problems under various flightmodes. Also, control allocation technology is introduced to deal with redundancy. At last, a series ofengineering applications are in use.Firstly, TVC changed UAV mathematical model a lot, a kind of new model needs to derive andanalyze. Through analysis of data, the conclusion of UAV high-maneuverability is obtained because ofTVC. Secondly, in normal flight mode, in order to ensure attitude stability and trajectory trackingaccuracy, a kind of hybrid control law combined with rudder and TVC is designed, this results showgood performance. Then, in maneuvering mode, a novel two-step sub-optimal algorithm is proposed toachieve the yaw reversal maneuver. To settle the difficulties of toning conventional control parametersand decomposing multi-loop, this paper uses optimal control theory to solve problems of the statesteady and the fastest climb of the UAV. In the modular design process of the flight control system,control allocation part is added to coordinate redundant control mechanisms, and to analyze thereconstruction of the system. Finally, TVC flight simulation platform is finished, hardware andsoftware design are carried out for TVC technology in the UAV project, which lays the practicalfoundation.TVC technology used in the UAV system is a very challenging task, which will become anessential part of the design of UCAV(Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle), also with a wide range ofapplications. In this paper, the study is divided into theoretical and engineering aspects, and theresearch results obtained can be useful as a essential reference for the utility of UCAV.
