Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is an important factor that determines whether theaero-engine electronic control unit (ECU) could work reliably. This paper is dedicated to researchingthe EMC problem of ECU enclosure. Firstly, EMI factors of ECU are analyzed and some maincorresponding measures are proposed. For conducted interference spreading along the cable of ECU,an EMI filter is designed by calculating cut-off frequency. And the complete design process isproposed, including design indices determining, structure selection, topology analysis and parametercalculation. The filter is validated by simulation with Saber software. For radiation interferencespreading through holes of ECU enclosure, technique measures such as overlap, holes shielding areput forward to improve shielding effectiveness. Finally, EMC simulation technology of ECUenclosure is researched. And the relationship between the forms, distribution of enclosure holes andshielding effectiveness is simulated with HFSS software. The simulation results could be used asguidance in the design of ECU enclosure.
