In order to improve the dynamic performance of the electric mini-car,decrease the cost and increase itstravel distance, this paper aims to research into electric mini-car driving system, to design and optimizethe part parameters of the electric minicar.Combined with the analysis of the electric minicar characteristics and the basic demands of theelectric minicar in the people’s daily life, the dynamic performance of the electric mini-car and thelayout form of the drive train is presented in the paper. With the calculation and analysis of the drivetrain of the electric mini-car, the major part parameters of the drive train are determined.A computation model of the electric mini-car driving system is established in the paper. Based on theequation on the consuming energy of the electric mini-car with the output energy of battery, thecalculation method of the vehicle travel distance is set up, then the influence factors can be analyzed,which provides the theory basis for driving system optimization.Two kinds of the methods for driving system parameter optimization are used in the paper. Parameteroptimization results show that the optimal parameters of the power system are better than existingcomponent parameters, the dynamic performance of the electric minicar is improved and the vehicletravel distance of the electric mini-car is increased, which is useful for the follow-up research anddevelopment.With the platform of ADVISOR2002, the vehicle performance of the electric mini-car is simulated inNYCC conditions so as to verify the reality of the performance of the drive train designed in the paper.The lead acid battery test and vehicle performance test has been taken in the paper,which proved therationality of the power system parameters.
