High flexible coupling is a common used facility during the shipbuilding andmany other industries for the combination of two shafts, which could offer gooddumping and displacement compensation abilities. Thus, as one of the most importantcomponent, the high flexible rubber element has a great influence to the wholecoupling.Up to now, throughout the research circles, people mainly concentrate on theability of the torque transfer and rotation speed while the thermo-tic research remainsa great deal to work out. therefore, this thesis is chiefly focus on the heat powerconsumption, heat transfer, and the spread of the temperature field.With the constant strength theory this thesis deduced a module that could simplifythe heat generation process by assign the heat generation rate to the every smallelement of the rubber module so as to simulate the heat power consumption from thegiving work condition. Meanwhile depending on the current heat transfer theory, thewriter compiled an intact math module including the heat conduction heat convectionheat radiation and the relevant IFM module.By utilizing the mass experiment facilities owned by research institution711,the writer designed and fulfilled the test of the rubber element of the high flexiblecoupling. Under giving circumstance, the writer use different temperature sensor torecord the surface and inside temperature and thus get a whole temperature spreaddata. Compared the test result and the results got from IFM module, the error is lowerthan10%, proving the simulation method is reliable.After the module is proved reliable, it is capable to optimize the current productsand help design the new type, for example the place where the convection hole to drillwill be better. Moreover we suggested a common flow to optimize the differenttypes of products.
