In recent years, more and more underground engineering have been constructed,such as the subways, the large underground commercial streets, etc. The interactionproblems of the structure and its surrounding soil have been more and more concernedabout by domestic and foreign academic domain. Above them, the soil and structurecontacts belonging to different media contacts, which may have a greater impact onthe soil and structure system in the strongly nonlinear stage of the reaction. Mostseismic response analysis on the existing underground structure did not considerdisengage and slip between soil and structure, which tends to bring some inaccuracy.How to consider the interface performance of the soil and structure is a key issue ofreasonable analysis of the seismic performance. Therefore, a comprehensive study forthe contact of the soil and structure has been done in this article especially underdynamic conditions, and the main work and the results are as follows:1. A brief introduction, to the development history and the current situation ofthe specific features of the contact surface, which based on the experimentalinstrument and the theories, is presented.2. The thoughts of designing the research instruments is established byconsulting the related references, and analyzing, and basing on the theories, thefeasibility of the its designing is proved.3. Design the dynamic contact experimental device of the soil and structure witha suspension ring type, and the feasibility and reliability of the dynamic contactexperimental device is proved by making some simple tests4. The influences of the mechanic features of the contact which is in a dynamicsituation by the loading frequency and the vertical stress will be tested by designingthree-group tests and analyzing the test data.By the tests and detailed introduction to the dynamic contact experimental deviceof the soil and structure with a suspension ring type, this paper can get the followingconclusions: first, the device acts well on the researches on the contact issues, canadopt the dynamic load without man-made fixed failure surface, and the soil canchange its shape freely during the test; second, the test system can do some feature tests of the contact with different factors, for example, the roughness of the structurefaceplate, the moisture content of the soil, the vertical stress of the contact, the loadingrate.
