Fuel heater is one of the independent heating system of the vehicle equipment. Theheaters are mainly used in cold winter areas. The heaters can warm up the drivers’ cab in ashort period of time while not start the engine. In this paper, by contrasts the domestic andforeign vehicles fuel heater technology and development, designed a new set of car fuelheater control system.The heater’s control system of the paper designed including four parts: combustioncalculation, hardware design, software design and fire testing. Combustion calculation isbased on actual measurement of the heater-related data. In order to provide theoreticalbasis for the software design, the paper built some mathematical modeling in combustion.The hardware design includes a rotary switch, motor, pump, glow plug, temperaturesensors (including: DS18B20, PT2000, K-type thermocouple) circuits. The software partincludes the design of the programming of the motor, pump, and K-type thermocouple.Ignition test section includes tests to come to power supply voltage and motor speed, therelationship between the air flow to arrive at the range of normal system operation andreliable relationship.Considering the heater often working in the harsh and complex environment, in orderto ensure the reliability and security of their applications, the paper explains the test takenby some anti-jamming measures. This article has a certain reference value for significanceon the development of automotive fuel heater products.
