Green building refers to a structure and using process that is environmentally responsible and resource-efficient through a building’s life cylce. The development direction of construction in china is developing green building and saving energy. Building energy simulation is an important tool in building energy-saving design. While nature gas has been widely used, combined cooling heat and power (CCHP) has characteristic of resources rationality, high efficiency, better environmental-economical performance,flexibile in load distribution,it becomes one of the energy supply modes in china. CCHP that based on the concept of energy cascade utilization is a kind of multi-generation system integrating electricity, cooling and heating. This system can improve the efficiency of energy utilization and reduce CO2, SO2, and NOx emissions.The method of calculating building energy consumption and comparative analysis of a variety of energy simulation software for energy simulation were described in this paper. Also the status quo domestic and foreign were summarized. A new generation energy simulation software-DesignBuilder which based on EnergyPlus was put forward. The performance and applications of DesignBuilder were also described. The dynamic load based on the actual running time and cooling, heating and power consumption of Cartoon and Comics Park in Tianjin Sino-Singapore Eco-city was simulated by EnergyPlus and DesignBuilder software in this paper.Building CCHP (combined cooling, heating and power) system shows potential advantages provding a reasonable configuration and operation mode. The techno-economic performance of the CCHP system of Cartoon and Comics Park in Tianjin Sino-Singapore Eco-city is studied in this paper. Based on the results of annual building energy simulation by EnergyPlus, an optimization model with the least annual expenditure as an object function is proposed in terms of the CCHP system configuration and operation options. And also it is based on the less economic factor, high net present value(NPV) and reasonable payback period. The results show that, according to the traditional engineering experience blindly "CCHP determined by heating" and " CCHP determined by cooling " both are undesirable. the optimal system for the program should be determined based on the load situation, the local energy prices and municipal services conditions. Gas prices has a great influence on the capacity of CCHP system configuration, the higher gas prices, the lower economy and applicability.Finally, three general systems for the Cartoon and Comics Park were proposed and compared with the optimal system in this paper. The results show that the CCHP system determined by the optimal design method has higher energy efficiency and better environmental-economical performance. This work provides an effective database and theoretic support for further selecting and optimizing CCHP system of the whole Tianjin Sino-Singapore Eco-city.
