Aluminium is one of the most important metals in the world. Its main material is Alumina. As the economy rising recently China has produce the largest alumina than other countries in the world. But it has poor resource and technic than the developed countries. As the increase of the alumina quanility the bauxite are more less than needed. Most of the refinary input bauxite from the abroad to preduce alumina. In order to deal with the resource problem this article studied the lime sinter process to produce alumina for deal with the bauxite problem.The lime sinter process can use the poor bauxite that is impossible be used by the Bayer process because the high sodium oxide cost. The productivity and recovery are problem if use mill run process method to deal with the poor bauxite and also it’s hard to pile up the tailing. But lime sinter process is the best way to use it produce alumina. Less water sinter precess may be come true that can save energy. This method has been studied by several institutes in china.This article studied lime sinter process detailed and lots of experiment be done use different resources such as red mud and fly-ash. Mixed lime and material that contained aluminium together,sinter the admixture then through value the dissolve rate to judge the experiments is better or not. The results showed that fly-ash sinter can pulverization by oneself easily and the dissolve rate can reach 80%; The bauxite sinter didn’t pulverization and the dissolve rate less than 60%. But the additive can rise the dissolve rate to more than 90%. Both the bauxite and fly-ash have the same sinter temperature that is about 1300 celsius degree. Some results has been listed at the end of this article and that can help to use this method in the industry soon.
