With the continuous development of tertiary oil recovery technology, the mainreservoir thickness, serious heterogeneity, big injection fluid often thick reservoirs ofeach sedimentary unit along the high permeability area and caused invalid circulation ofchemicals which restricts the improvement of oil recovery, in order to further improvethe heterogeneity deputy for oilfield development effect, we must implement the depthprofile control technology. Therefore, a kind of effective profile control agent should beapplied to modify the injection profile. Nowadays, most of the agents are unavailable toprofile control under the high alkali content condition. Therefore, it is essential toresearch a new alkali resistance polymer gel system.According to the profile control mechanism and the cross-linked mechanism ofpolymer, this paper considered the impact of strong alkaline condition (pH=12) on theprofile control agent and have performed the experiments of the selection of crosslinkertype and its concentration, the selection of polymer molecular weight, the selection ofpolymer concentration, and the selection of polymer aging time, etc. and developed aformula of alkali resistance profile control agent. The best recipe has been optimized andthe optical concentration ratio has been screened out by means of orthogonal test, whichhas an important practical significance for enhancing oil recovery and reducing the costof oil production.
