The market competition requires that enterprises should improve product quality and reduce production cost. It has become inevitable to develop new products efficiently and apply the computer aided design technology and the finite element analysis technology to the mould development. This thesis takes a washing machine’s service panel as an example to introduce the method of injection mold design, and the main research content is as follows:1. Finished the injection mold design of a washing machine’s service panel by Pro/E software. Designed injection mold components and parts, including filling system, cooling circuit, and ejecting mechanism with side action, it shows that applying Pro/E software to plastic mold design can shorten development period and improve design accuracy.2. In the injection mold design under Pro/E environment, applying Pro/E form work library to assemble form work can make the design cycle shortened and the the design accuracy improved.3. Used the injection mould analysis software, MPI the analyze the plastic part’s best gate, filling, cooling and warpage. Based on the analysis, in view of the existing problems, optimization design is made, until a satisfactory analysis results are obtained. The result of injection mold’s CAE optimization design is feedback to the injection mold’s CAD three-dimensional models in order to improve unreasonable design, shorten the production cycle and reduce the production cost.
