The research shows that:the rustic furniture materials used widely, sort is various, mostly used waste wood in common seen as the main material, together with free casual,wild and easy, concise and simple, fresh and elegant morphological characteristics. Rustic furniture emphasis on the structure due to material characteristics condition, the main structure are the following:mortise and tenon joints, bonding, stitching, weaving, tied and platting etc, to the rustic furniture of different structure forms have different material characteristics, technique and technological process.At the same time, this article through to the nature and casual form design theory of rustic furniture, focused on the modeling morphological and functional morphology of rustic furniture. The research shows that:the rustic furniture with simple and elegant, unique, slim and supple, rough, rich styling features. It follows the principle of ergonomics in the design; emphasis on the material in order to make full use of waste wood material source philosophy; pursuit of natural personality characteristics in shape. It can give a person with green, comfortable sense, more to influence people using rustic furniture, evoke strongly advocated the concept of ecological spirit of man and nature in harmony.Finally, the author makes use of Robinia pseudoacacia, camphor wood branches and small thinnings as main material, and with the chair, tea table of pastoral style as an entity furniture design, putting the theory of the above mentioned results into practice, introducing its production process, and making the corresponding summary about rough wood furniture’s technology, economy, ecology, efficiency, proving the principle and method of design. It provides relevant reference and ideas for the further on study of the theory and practice of rough wood furniture.
