Featured as both labor-intensity and market-dependency, the textile industry is one of the most important pillar industries of China’. In order to reduce the damage to yarns and the cost of labor force, as well as to improve efficiency, automatic doffing has become an inevitable trend. At present, many domestic and foreign enterprises have developed their own automatic doffing machines; however, some problems still exist in the process. Lower efficiency and greater damage to spindles and bobbins bring a huge impact to spinning and doffing industries. With the continuous development of economic and the server requirement of the quality for the textile products, researching higher efficient, lower costly, and more reliable automatic doffing machine become an inevitable trend. And in the near future, the research result will be greatly adopted among textile corporations.This dissertation is divided into seven parts. The first section compares the research statue of full automatic fall winder in and out of China, giving the defects of domestic doffer and stating the importance of fully automatic drop winder by analyzing the current development status of the domestic textile industry. The second section discusses this research hereof and simply introduces the software applied. The third section introduces the basic structure of doffer and proposes the scheme of this dissertation. The fourth section discusses the detailed mechanical design of automatic doffing machine, including the design of the various agencies of the refinement, selection of standard parts, the calculation of size and durability, the strength of the critical parts. The fifth part discusses the detailed design of its control system in the automatic doffing machine, including the selection and configuration of hardware, the design of control schematic and program. The sixth part analysis the pull yarn device in automatic doffing machine by using ADMAS software and compares the research of traditional doffing machine. The result concludes that the design in this topic is much more capable of achieving fully automatic drop winder doffing functional requirements, through reducing damage to spindle and bobbin winder and providing important theoretical guideline for future manufacturing and debugging of fully automatic doffing machine. In the final section, the article summarizes the important research work done in this dissertation and points out the parts for further optimization.
