N-Containing Carboxlic acid Ligands have been widely applications in the designsynthesis and of coordination compounds due to their varieties of coordination modesand strong coordination ability. In this thesis, by the use of ethyl2,2-difluoro-2-(pyridin-2-yl)acetate (Efpa),1H-imidazole-4,5-dicarboxylic acid (H3IDC) and2-ethyl-4,5-imidazoledicarboxlic acid(H3EDC) assembling with transitional metal ions, respectively, we have synthesized9novel coordination polymers underhydro(solvo)thermal condition. The compounds have been characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy, elemental analyses and thermogravimetricanalysis, etc. In addition, the fluorescent and magnetic properties have been detaileddiscussion and investigated. The main contents are as follows:1. Two novel Co and Cu coordination polymers based on Hfpa ligands (Hfpaligands are obtained through in situ hydrolysis of Efpa) have been successfullyassembled in EtOH-H2O experiment situation:[Co(fpa)2(H2O)2](1) and [Cu(fpa)2(H2O)](2). While, the Efpa ligand and combination with the auxiliary ligands bpp, bpy andbimb [bpp=1,3-bis(4-pyridyl)propane, bpy=4,4′-bipyridine, bimb=1,4-bis(imidazol-1-yl)butane], we have prepared three compounds with fascinating structures[Zn2(fpa)4(bpp)2]n(3),{[Zn(bpy)(H2O)2]·2(fpa)}n(4) and [Ni(bimb)2Cl2]n(5). X-raydiffraction analyses reveal that1and2with zero dimension(0D) structures are bothextended into three dimension (3D) supramolecular networks through hydrogen bondand π…π, F…π interactions. Complex3and4exhibit one dimension (1D) structureowing to the steric-hinerance effect by bpp and bpy caused. Moreoverm,3and4bothshow strong fluorescence in the solid state at room temperature. Differently,complex5possesses a two-dimensional (2D) layer containing square Ni4(bimb)4units. 2. Reaction of H3IDC with different salts (Pb and Cu) has led to two new HnIDC-M complexes under hydrothermal:[Pb3(IDC)2]n(6) and [Cu(HIDC)(H2O)]n(7). Byimprove the PH value of solution, H3IDC is deprotonated to generate IDC3-and HIDC2-,therefore, the complex6show a3-D supramolecular framework, while7exhibits a2-Dlayer with square structure. the2-D layer are further extended to3-D supramolecularstructure by hydrogen bonding and π…π interactions.3. Two similar complexes [Co3(EIDC)2(H2O)5]n(8) and [Zn3(EIDC)2(H2O)4]n(9)with homochiral helical chian have been hydrothermally synthesized employing H3EDCas organic ligand. The compound8and9exhibit a3-D3-connected net with SrSi2topology. The researth of magnetic properties reveal that antiferromagnetism in8.9show slightly weak fluorescence in the solid state at room temperature.
