Abstract/Summary:
In this paper, trimethylolpropane oleate was synthesized by decompressioneasterification reaction with trimethylolpropane and oleic acid of renewable resource, thespecies of catalyst, the amount of catalyst, the molar ratio of trimethylolpropane and oleicacid, reaction temperature and reaction time on the synthesis of trimethylolpropane oleatewas investigated, synthesize products was used ion exchange and adsorption forpost-processing.Respectively, using concentrated sulfuric acid, ZSM-5molecular sieves, D005-Ⅱion resin, heteropoly acid and solid super acid for catalyst was synthesizedtrimethylolpropane oleate. The results show that using solid super acid by the catalyst,the esterification rate of trimethylolpropane oleate is higher, and the color oftrimethylolpropane oleate is light yellow transparent liquid. Using solid super acid forcatalyst was synthesized trimethylolpropane oleate, the optimum conditions were theamount of catalyst1‰, n(trimethylolpropane)/n(oleic acid)=1:3.1, reaction temperature180℃, reaction time8h, under the optimum conditions, the esterification rate oftrimethylolpropane oleate was over94%.Using D152, D72and001×7ion resin for post-processing, the velocity oftrimethylolpropane oleate on the treatment effect was investigated. Make use of D152ionchange resin for processing, the sample’s velocity0.1~0.2mL/min, test its demulsibitity,the oil and water separation time was5min, its demulsibitity consistent with the use oflubricants standard. Adsorption for post-processing, the spices of adsorbent, adsorbentdosage, and adsorbent time on the treatment effect was studied. Using atlapulgite asadsorbent, add to content is15%of the quality of oil, under80℃adsorbing for30min,the sample had a better effect. test its demulsibitity, the oil and water separation time was5min, its demulsibitity consistent with the use of lubricants standard. Before and aftertreatment of the trimethylolpropane oleate by ICP atomic emission spectrum test samplesof the content of Fe、Al and Zn, the content of Fe、Al and Zn both reduced, indicating ion exchange and the adsorption method can effectively reduce the metal content of thetrimethylolpropane oleate, and enhance its demulsification.The structure of trimethylolpropane oleate was confirmed by FT-IR spectroscopy,compared with the standard sample the FT-IR spectroscopy, they are substantiallycompletely overlapped; confirm the product is the trimethylolpropane oleate. Thedecomposition temperature of trimethylolpropane oleate was over350℃bythermogravimetric analysis; the results prove the good thermal stability oftrimethylolpropane oleate. According to test the performance indicators oftrimethylolpropane oleate, it is consistent with nation standard of lubricants used.
