| The production of carbon fiber precursor is a large-scale production system with multiple processes and complex conditions. It plays an important role on the whole carbon fiber production, because the properties of carbon fiber rely on its precursor’s quality and each process’s influence’ factor directly threatens its quality and properties. Traditional control method can hardly achieve satisfactory control for complex systems, while model-free adaptive control (MFAC) doesn’t depend on the mathematical model of a system when its controller is designed, and it owns the advantages of simple algorithms, few parameters, and good control effects. In this paper, we conducted a research on model-free adaptive control method, and presented an improved model-free adaptive control method, and then applied it to carbon fiber water bath drawing system. The main work is as follows:Firstly, we introduced carbon fiber water bath drawing process and its water bath drawing slot, analyzed and built its mathematical model, which is a MIMO (Multiple-input multiple-output) system with coupling and time delay.Secondly,we introdued the background, the basie theory, the control law and identification of characteristic parameter of model-free adaptive control method, and summarized the performance of control law. After that, we conducted the simulation research and analyzed the performance of model-free adaptive control comprehensively by comparing with PID control on the aspects of tracking, delay adaptability, anti-interference performance, and decoupling.Thirdly, according to theory research, a model-free adaptive control based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm (we called it PSO-MFAC) was designed. Combining it with specific production process——carbon fiber water bath drawing, we carried on simulation experiments and compared it with PID and model-free adaptive control method, and the results show it has fast convergence rate, short adjustment time, good anti-interference performance, almost no overshoot, and has good decoupling for coupling systems.Finally, based on Microsoft.NET platform, we established a software control system of carbon fiber water bath drawing process by C#program language under Visual Studio2008development environment. This control system is used to simulate water bath drawing process control and observe the control effect. |
