| Thick and mid-thick plate welding is used in a variety of large-scale constructionsteel structure; the physical transport mechanism and the fluid dynamics state in thepool are the key factors to determine the welded joints performance, quality of weldshape and welding efficiency. Through the establishment of the mathematical modelof heat welding process, Numerical simulation of welding thermal process will makewelding process of welding residual stress and deformation be understood deeplyand provide important and useful theoretical basic and the underlying data for thewelding thermal process automation, which means important academic value andpractical significance.In this paper, ANSYS numerical simulation software is used and in the contextof China’s National Stadium “Bird’s Nest†steel welding project, the thick andmid-thick plates used in large span steel structure are analysized in the temperaturefield, stress and strain field of multi-channel and multi-layer welding process.Specifically addressed as follows:Firstly, the two pieces of Q460E-Z35steel plates which size is75mm (length)by50mm (width) by10mm (height) are as the research object. According to theactual welding process, single-sided butt welding of the60°oblique y-groove, twolayers and three times welding is adopted. At the same time, in order to ensure thatthe high-temperature region of the weld has precise temperature partition, it isadopted that the weld near the mesh size is divided smaller and away from the weldarea increases gradually.Secondly, life and death element technology and APDL language is to move theload of the welding heat source and simplifies the solution process. Explore temperature distribution of thick and mid-thick plate during different time andsimulate welding residual stress and deformation.Finally, Solved temperature field distribution can be compared with each otherand the results of simulation and the results of test in the references are compared too.It can be concluded that the temperature field of the simulation results andexperimental are in good agreement. |
