| 3-Methylpyridine is an important industrial chemical or organic intermediate. It isused in the field of industry of fine chemicals extensively, such as agriculturalchemicals and medicine. The demand of3-methylpyridine has been still on the rise inrecent years. With the high-cost and high-price, chinese producers are dependent onforeign raw materials. The project studied acrolein synthesize3-methylpyridine in acidand ether by mild liquid phase reaction. The reaction conditions are optimized in thispaper and a new experimental invention is created, the synthesis of3-methylpyridinewith acrolein diethyl acetal in acid. Under the optimization conditions, theconversion rate of acrolein diethyl acetal could reach to100%and the selectivity of3-methylpyridine with a higher yield above the existing documents.The reaction temperature, the types and quantity of any of various of materials,the feeding speed and time and so on are investigated in the study of synthesizing3-methylpyridine with acrolein and acrolein diethyl acetal by mild liquid phasereaction, and3-methylpyridine is detected by gas chromatograph. The best reactionyields are63.9%and68.8%. Compared with other ways of synthesizing3-methylpyridine, the two routings have low reaction temperature, low power, easyoperation, high safety factor and the single product of pyridine base. But the synthesisof3-methylpyridine with acrolein diethyl acetal was not reported in the documents allof the world, it is the first time that the routing has been studied in this paper.Compared with acrolein method, it has low-cost, high-yield and mild-pungent smell.A new research direction suggestions are reported in this paper for theexperimental study and industrial production, especially the difficulties about self-polymerization of material and select the suitable solvent and catalyst. |
