| Oil and gas pipeline has become one of the most economical and most convenient meansof transportation all over the World. In our country, it forms a huge pipeline network system.In order to ensure the safety of these pipelines in the day-to-day operations, not only to ensurethe pipeline mateiral quality, the secuirty status of weld are also importanL NDT could testpipe welds of the constructing and operation pipeline, in order to grasp the existence ofdefects in the weld, moer conducive to the safe operation of the pipeline. Ilie ultrasonicdetection technology has become the most widely used detection of weld inspection.This article described the status of the oil and gas pipelines, development trends andstudy significance of the papers. Summary the welding process for pipeline girth weld,groove form and type of defects, hazards and preventive measures,introduce the mostcommonly NDT methods and their advantages, disadvantages and applicability. Studyultrasonic automatically of the oil and gas pipeline ring weld and manually detectiontechnology, the principle of the detection method, equipment, and the factors that affect thetest results. Through the West-East second-line automatic ultrasonic test ersults analysisshows that, its is completely and contrast automatic and manual detection method, theiradvantages and disadvantages, the scope of application. Though the laboartory experiments,analyzes and summarizes the inlfuence of the ultrasonic detection probe parameters(frequency, die size, K value) and coupling agents on the deteciton sensitivity, andproposed how to use the probe and coupling agent, to be able to improve the detectionsensitivity, thereby increasing the accuracy of test results. Finally, though test the high-gradesteel pipe girth weld ultrasonic testing, veirfication that,the detection method is accurate,feasible. |
