Abstract/Summary:
In recent years, some radioactive metal pollution accidents happen in Zhejiang Province. The paper mainly study on the way to handle with polluted metal and the estimation result of total weight and activity. We find out the relationship of activity concentration and gamma dose rate. Then quickly distribute out and dispose different polluted level metal. Finally, calculate the additional dose calculation and risk assessment for some products may have been sold to public.As the result shows, the total weight and activity result of radioactive polluted copper material has been estimated according to production conditions and radioactive activity.Different activity copper materials have been easily sort out based on correspondence between activity concentration and y radiation dose rate. Then only a quarter of all polluted coppers should be concentrate disposed. The others can be recycled and reused and can save a lot of money. The surface contaminated sites and soil are also controled to ensure compliance with the clearance requirements according to standards. The estimation result of the additional dose calculation and safety risk risk for some products may have been sold to public is so little.The research paper has important value for the disposal of this accident and important guiding significance for the radiation environmental management and monitoring department at the disposal of similar incidents in the future.
