As a new fluorescent material, Quantum dots have unique optical properties and goodbiocompatibility. Fluorescence resonce energy transfer systems built by using q uantumdots have been applied in biological detection、immune analysis and research related tobiological molecules and biological sensors. Comparing with traditional methods, FREThas a higher ensensitivity and simpler useness. In this paper a new fluorescence resonceenergy transfer system has been established by using modified Quantum Dots. Theresearch is focused on the synthesis and modification of quantum dots and how to composeand apply the FRET systems. The detail contents and results are as follows:1. Green and orange water-soluble CdTe quantum dots were prepared in aqueoussolution,using thioglycollic acid as stabilizing agent,and then conjugated with PDA andABA. The optical properties of these new fluorescent probes were studied. The reactioncondition between CdTe with PDA and ABA had been discussed, such as differenctproportion, reflux time, temperature and so on.2. A fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) system was established by usingCdTe-PDA as a dornor and CdTe-ABA as an acceptor. The influence of differentproportion for dornor and acceptor and reflux time on the fluorescence intensity of FRETsystem was discussed. The content of ampicllin could be tested by this FRET systemaccording to the relationship between fluorescence intensity ratio Fa/Fd of FRET systemand the concentration of ampicllin.
