| With the rapid development of iron and steel companies, the profit of companies has decreased rapidly. In order to guarantee their separate development, they have extended industry chain into the upstream and downstream enterprises. Hence, the Steel processing and distribution centers have been established fast in China in the last years, the number of which is up to300, J CO. is one of them. J CO. is dominated by steel pretreatment, the cost of process has been high. The reason lies in the lack of standardized operation. Random process and produce result in the low efficiency of the machine operation. The machines frequently run without load.The paper is aimed to find out the key station influencing production, by analyzing the production process of the steel pretreatment based on IE theory, resulting in standardizing whose operating flow by analyzing and optimizing it.Up to now, various papers involved in the steel pre-processing production line focus on process, equipment and the control of the system and never refer to the standardized operation, especially aimed to one station. So the paper focuses on researching the key station——discharging station which influences the production rhythm of the steel pretreatment line. The station is composed of many complicated production links such as removing the steel out of roller bed, finding steel plate number, confirming identification code, arranging identification code, spraying identification code, pasting side label, in need of the sense of great responsibility and care. By the research into the process of discharging station, the operation will be standardized, and the station where machines run without load will be decreased and the rhythm of production will be increased.In order to implement the plan and effective implementation, the paper has conducted the research measures from understanding point, organization, system management and staff and technical,etc.The paper consists of eight chapters. Chapter one is the introduction part, the paper introduces research background, research purpose and significance as well as research status at home and abroad. Chapter two is the theory part, discuss principle, elements, methods related operations research. Chapter three introduces present situation and problem analysis of J CO. discharging station. it introduces specifically HK-4500 preparation line related to the theme of the paper, and carefully analyses the discharging station to study, describes the discharging location process, post operation route and post operation procedures, and measures the present operation time, find the problems and their causes from the current situation. Chapter four is the overall design scheme of research approach. The study is aimed at establishing work study mechanism in J CO. To achieve this goal, must make subject research scheme of the overall design, should include the research approach’s idea, goal, principles, framework and implementation steps, etc. Chapter five is discharging station single operations research. Through the site layout improvement, and the dismantling of unused discharging transverse support, it makes workers’ walk line greatly shorten, and measures standardized time to discharging worker assignments action, thus obtains the equipment utilization efficiency reached100%, and discharging worker also can get a short rest. Chapter six is discharging location double operations research plan. The double operations research is studied on the basis of the single operation. Adjusting the coding work station position, designing code character card tidy up box, designing new coding work station and so on, so that they make working environment more neat convenience, improve the operation speed. In accordance with the operation time measured, it is operating procedure optimization combination, make discharging workers in double veneer working efficiency greatly raised, equipment utilization efficiency reached100%, and discharging workers can get a short rest.
