The element closely relating the health of human body—fluorine is taken as the researchobject, and the high fluorosis area—Cangzhou in Hebei Province is chosen as a typical studyarea in this artisic. On the basis of the data collection, field investigation, sample collection andtest analysis, with geological and hydrogeological characteristics of study area, the distributioncharacteristics of groundwater fluorine, the influencing factors and evolution mechanism arestudied. The main conclusions are as followed: In a horizontal distribution in study areagroundwater, high fluoride in shallow groundwater mainly distributes to the west of canal, butdeep water F-contents with a trend increase gradually from west to east. In vertical direction, theF-contents of shallow groundwater do not exceed2mg/L, and the amount of fluorine in deepgroundwater exceeds standard level mostly. The high fluorine in groundwater of the study area isnatural groundwater, and it formed on the effect natural factors. The F-enrichment is closelyrelated to the climate, hydrology, geology, hydrogeology and water chemical conditions. Thegroundwater in the study area is partial alkaline. The main form existing formations are F~-, NaF~0,CaF~+, MgF~+. The fluorine element mainly existed with unitary ion of F-. The existing formationwith inorganic complex compound is less. The increasing content of fluorine in groundwatermainly comes from the mineral fluorite dissolution.
