The ceramic/permeated aluminum composite coating was prepared on coppersurface by slurry process and heat reaction method. The coating structure was analyzedand the thermal vibration resistance, hardness, corrosion and wear resistance of thecomposite coating were investigated. The morphology and phase constituent of thecoating were observed by SEM and XRD respectively. The results showed that new phases like Na7Al3O8、Cu3TiO4and Cu9Al4wereformed in the coating. The hardness of the coating was as high as83.8HRE, the bondstrength between the coating and the substrate was up to10.05MPa,and the number ofthe thermal shock was above40times at700℃.In the abrasion resistance testing, theparticle attrition performance is as5.40times as the copper of; the adhesive wear (dryfriction) performance and the adhesive wear (oil friction) performance is as5.64and10.14times as the copper of. In the corrosion resistance, corrosion resistance was15.44times and20.56times to that of bare copper in acid and salt environments respectively. On the whole, the performance of composite coating was better than the copper, copperaluminizing layer and ceramic coating.
