Research On Small-Towns Domestic Sewage Treatment With Constructed Wetland

Abstract/Summary:
With the development of urbanization in China, the urban wastewater has been contaminated seriously, because the untreated sewage was discharged into the water. People’s health and safety are influenced therefore. It is significantly important to research the treatment technology for small town sewage. This paper was focused on the research of wetland core technology involved in the Poyang Lake native wetland plants investigating, local native fillings screening, and on the basis of which, strong reoxygenation tidal-flow artificial wetland technology was researched and developed. The demonstration project was carried out successfully.The main contents and innovation of this dissertation were as follows.Firstly, the distribution characteristics of the wetland plants in2major watershed of Poyang Lake Basin were researched, and the performance of Poyang Lake typical wetland plants in the treating urban domestic sewage pollutants was studied, which would provide scientific basis and guidance for the application and promotion of Poyang Lake wetland plants in constructed wetland.Secondly, the adsorption characteristics of four native artificial constructed wetland fillings was researched. The four native artificial constructed wetland filling included sslimy shale, black shale, beehive cinder and river sand, which were native and common in Jiangxi province. This would provide scientific basis and reference for selecting sewage fillings when the artificial constructed wetland was used for the treatment of domestic wastewater in the whole Poyang Lake Basin.Finally, according to the intermittent discharging characteristic of the small town sewage, the strong reoxygenation tidal-flow constructed wetland system were put forward, and the operation principle and construction method were studied. Furthermore, the main influence of reaction time, empty bed time and water level on the strong reoxygenation tidal-flow constructed wetland performance were analyzed through small pilot experiment study. On the basis of small pilot study, the project demonstration was carried out, and the research results showed that the demonstration project run well.
