Mine hoist is one of the most important large-scale equipment in mine enterprise production, it undertakes the tasks of ascending minerals, waste rock and lifting personnel, equipment and materials, it is main tools for coal, metallurgical mining production and transport, known as Mine " throat" said, Therefore guarantee the normal operation of lifting system is especially important。The safety and reliability of hoists directly affect not only the whole production capacity of the mine, the entire mine economic benefits, but also the life safety of operating personnel. Therefore, the mine hoist normally operate safely and reliably, have a great impact on the economic benefits of mining enterprises. Due to the importance of the mine hoist in the mining industry, it has very important significance to monitoring the mine hoist for hoist. Traditional mine hoist monitoring system has the shortcomings of poor integration and low efficiency, in addition to it does not meet the multi-functional requirements of modern monitoring and has no response to failures of mine hoist in the monitoring process. With the development of the technology of computer hardware and software and the technology of computer aided testing, especially the emergence of virtual instruments, it is applied to mine hoist condition monitoring and fault warning system,this will be the development trend of the mine hoist monitoring and controlling system. This paper has developed a mine hoist condition monitoring and fault warning system based on advanced virtual instrument development platform-LabVIEW, sensors, NI PCIe-632multi-functional DAQ and so on. The level of safety, reliability and automatization have arrived at a new altitude, and ensure the safe operation of the mine hoist. The main work done in this paper include the following aspects:(1) Guided by the advanced virtual instrument technology, this paper applicated LabVIEW that is graphical control software has developed a mine hoist condition monitoring and fault warning system. The system has functions of data acquisition, data processing, data analysis, data real-time display, data storage, data query and printout of reports, parameter settings, curve shows and so on.(2) Introduced monitoring system hardware and software design. Hardware design main researched hardware components of the monitoring system, including sensors, DAQ, the selection of signal conditioning devices, anti-jamming measures for system. Software design main divided system functions, programmed by adopted the idea of modularization, structured, integration, main module calls the sub-module, and fully consider the scalability of system capacity and functions.(3) Monitoring system implements a real-time display of the hoist container location, monitors hydraulic station oil pressure, oil temperature, brake clearance, armature current, and gives the alarm on equipment failure and the maintenance recommendations. When query on the fault content, system can print it.
