| Round materials such as bar and pipe often bring about different degrees of bending due to various reasons. Cross-roll straightener is suitable for straightening round materials. Because of its simple structure, high precision of straightening, cross-roll straightener gets more widely used. The pipe and bars required straightening are different specifications, materials and so on, which made different demands on straightening machines. Taking into account the cross-roll straightener’s design principle and similarity of structure, if we use traditional design methods, we need to repeate design and calculation, which influences the efficiency of cross-roll straightener’s design.The purpose of this issue is to build parameterized design system of cross-roll straightener based on reusable technology, which makes the rapid responsibility of market and reduces repeated work, and improve the efficiency of cross-roll straightener’s design.The parametric design method of this paper is based on reusable technology. First, the paper makes module devision for the cross-roll straightener and establish the reusable module and reusable part library of cross-roll straightener. Second, the paper carries out detailed calculation, and compiles the calculation to the system to achive the function of parameter’s calculation. Afterwards, the paper designs characteristics of the parts of each module to achive parameterized design of parts and linkage of three-dimensional model with two-dimensional engineering drawings. Finally, each module and the whole machine achive assemblage by programming. |
