Turn-milling technology is the world mechanical processing areas of a high and new technology. Due to its high efficiency and machining precision cutting,it used more widely in the industrial developed countnes.The using of multi-axis milling technology to achieve the car completed in one clamping cam most of the processing is kind of brand-new camshaft processing technology. In Turn-milling machining center, processing camshaft can maximum shorten production cycle, clamping can only once won best accuracy. Theoretical of the research in this area is relatively little. So using of technology on the camshaft milling process design and optimization of the study has important practical significance.Processing camshaft have endured a long process from the traditional grinding to advanced NC machining, traditional camshaft modeling processing with defects have not adapt to the modern production situation. Along with the development of composite turn-milling technology, turn-milling machining camshaft thaf’a car clamping, completely processing" can replace the traditional production technology, thus car milling machining camshaft superiority fully embodys. Through the milling process design and optimization of the camshaft, camshaft three-dimensional solid model was established. Adopting advanced intelligent programming system EdgeCAM,which canTurn-mill camshaft for combination CNC programming. Planning reasonable tool path tool for camshaft to milling process simulation and tool path generation. After milling center of the resulting NC code processing program and camshaft milling experiments,That conducted to verify the correctness of mathematical models and simulation. Specific research of this paper are as follows(1) Using the cubic spline function for the cam lift data interpolation.which fitting table to get the cam profile curve and the curve fitting error analysis and smooth handling. Establishing milling tool path camshaft mathematical model to analyze the milling cutter tool path Path.(2) Camshaft milling process for design, milling machining tool, positioning base, starting point and cut out points and other parameters were chosen to develop the car camshaft milling process, discusses the methods used milling Camshaft processing. Establishing the highest productivity and lowest cost of production as the goal of optimal function, with the objective function Mtalab mathematical optimization software.(3) Using EdgeCAM Turning and Milling on the camshaft for programming and simulation, the milling tool path generation module and tool path optimization are essentially reflects efficient,process more focused, resulting in higher position accuracy; Inspection tool through the physical process simulation workpiece and fixture is in the process of collision and improve processing quality and production efficiency camshaft.(4) In the milling machining center, Completeing cam experiment to test the correctness of the simulation program.
