Compared with the aromatic ester-type liquid crystal to aromatic amide mesogenic liquid crystal for compound, as easy to form hydrogen bonds between molecules, a clear highpoint, a more stable liquid crystalline state, so more and more attention. This thesis centered on amino acid synthesis with different terminal amide series of aromatic liquid crystalline compounds, by POM, FTIR,1HNMR, DSC of the monomer liquid crystal compounds were characterized. At the same time as information storage materials, including side-chain azo-polymer liquid crystal azo group by photoisomerization of its disturbance to the surrounding liquid crystal phase of information storage, and information can be stored in the material cooled to ollowing the glass transition temperature to freeze up. Therefore, the information stored procedures with low light requirements, information storage resolution and signal to noise ratio high, the information stored for a long time can be non-destructive readout of information and stored information can be repeatedly erased and so on. So far, the side chains containing azo-polymer liquid crystal information store material has made great progress. This paper also synthesized three kinds of azo liquid crystalline compounds, by increasing its flexible chain to compare the different nature. In addition, on the synthesis of azo compounds and liquid crystal poly methyl hydrogen siloxane was grafted copolymer.These research works expanded the types of the LCPs, provided some theoretical bases in design and synthesis of LCPs for some specific properties, and can also establish foundations for the application study of new types of LCPs.In this dissertation, we will report the design and synthesis of the seven amide compounds, three kinds of azo liquid crystal monomer and a liquid crystal monomer hand. Seven amides are ethyl4-(4-(allyloxy) benzamido) benzoate (M1), butyl4-(4-(allyloxy) benzamido) benzoate (M2),4-(4-(allyloxy) benzoyloxy) phenyl4-hexanamid obenzoate (M3),4-(4-(allyloxy) benzoyloxy) phenyl4-benzamido benzoate (M4),4-(4-(allyloxy) benzoyloxy) phenyl4-(4-ethoxybenzamido)benzoate(M5),4-(4-(allyloxy)benzoyloxy)pheny]4-(4-nitrobenza mido)benzoate(M6),4-(4-acetamidobenzoyloxy) phenyl4-(allyloxy) benzoate (M7); Three kinds of a zo liquid crystalsare4-((4-(ethoxycarbonyl) phenyl) diazenyl) phenyl4-(allyloxy) benzoate (M8),1-(4-((4-(ethoxycarbonyl) phenyl) diazenyl) phenoxy)-1-oxopropan-2-yl4-(allyloxy) benzoate (M9),4-(4-(allyloxy) benzoyloxy) phenyl4-((4-(ethoxycarbonyl) phenyl) diazenyl) phenyladipate (M10) and a kind of hand-type liquid crystal monomer cholesteryl2-(4-(allyl-oxy) benzoyloxy) propanoic (M11). By grafting copolymerization of monomers (M1and M11),(M8and M11),(M8and M9) to the main chain of poly (hydrogen methyl siloxane), three series of side-chain liquid crystalline polymers P1~P3are synthesized. To our knowledge, the obtained monomers and the polymers have never been reported up to now.The structures and properties of the obtained star-shaped LCs, liquid crystalline monomers, and LCPs are investigated by FT-IR spectroscopy,1H-NMR spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), polarizing optical microscopy (POM). Their structure-property relationships are discussed in detail. All the monomers and side-chain polymers are liquid crystals except the M1and M2. M3~M7are thermal unilateral nematic liquid crystals. Mg, M9and M10are thermal enantiotropic nematic liquid crystals. M11is thermal enantiotropic cholesteric liquid crystal. Polymers P1~P3are thermal enantiotropic liquid crystals. For the polymers P1and P2series of melting point Tg and the clearing point Ti with the increase in cholesteric monomer M11has a higher trend,the melting point of polymer P3series Ti,Tm and the clearing point decreased with the increase of monomer M9...
