Laser cladding technology can make high performance alloy matrix on the cheap metalbase material surface without affecting the preparation, and the properties of heat affectedzone is small, It is a kind of economic benefits of high new technology.This article first reviewed the laser cladding technology development present situation athome and abroad, summarized and analyzed the energy distribution、physical and chemicalphenomena and the selection of alloy materials in the laser cladding process. To solveengineering problem, finite element method is a powerful numerical tool, the heat conductionproblem in the process of numerical simulation of laser cladding are summarized, and thebasic process of ANSYS software of finite element simulation is introduced.The base material surface is2Cr13stainless steel substrate material, cladding layer forNi25WC35alloy powder, using APDL language and death unit feeding type laser claddingtechnology has realized the numerical simulation of the process, the success of the axlehousing form a proper good alloy coating. And then simulate the change of laser claddingtemperature field under different process parameters. Analysis results show that by using themethod of reduce the laser power and scanning speed increase, the cracking of cladding layercan reduce. If only by changing the preheat temperature, the method of cladding layercracking tendency of decline is small and ineffective.With laser cladding temperature field as the foundation, this paper use the indirectcoupling method to study the stress field. Temperature field in cooling60s, and found that onthe surface cladding layer and substrate and the cladding layer interface of thermal stress isbigger, and characterized by tensile stress. The tensile stress in the X direction is larger, toavoid the formation of the cladding layer and substrate interface crack source. Cladding layerof thermal stress will be less than its contact surface of the substrate, so the contact point areprone to cracking and spalling phenomena. 2Cr13stainless steel shaft sleeve is one of Warman slurry pump parts, poor workingconditions, very prone to corrosion, wear and fracture conditions. Through reasonableselection of laser cladding process parameters, removing alloy coating on the surface of pores,avoid the edge of the coating peeling, to improve the surface hardness of coating, formation ofgood quality of alloy coating, greatly extended the life of the axle housing.
