Computer knitting machine is a kind of mechanical and electrical products with high degree of automation and intelligence, which combines mechanical design, knitting technology and computer software control as a whole. The density regulating device is the key weaving component of computer knitting machine, which can change the fabric density and weave more complex intarsia organization. The regulatory agencies of dual system computer knitting machine density at home and abroad use the eight stepper motor to adjust the density, which is the complex structure, the low speed of data processing and the conversion, affecting productivity and maintenance not convenient. This thesis presents a new density adjustment device, which uses the ratchet wheel, the cam and slider composite bodies to adjust the density, and reduces the number of the stepper motor drive (four stepper motor), as well as has been realized the fabric density regulation of the current dual system. The focuses of the paper highlight the following aspects:(1) Based on the existing dual system computer knitting machine density adjustment mechanism, the thesis not only puts forward the background of mechanical principles and mechanical design to design a new density adjustment device, but also designs a new density adjustment device which uses the ratchet wheel, the cam and slider composite bodies by the movement principle of the institutions. The composite bodies which are driven by only four stepper motor driver achieve fast and accurate density adjustment function through validation and calculation.(2) The dissertation puts forward mechanical design, including the design of the mechanism reliability, mechanical design, execution unit movement and density adjustment by the composite bodies.(3) Through the study of the composite bodies, the dissertation puts forward the hardware and software design of the density conditioning control system, including DSP and CAN bus programs, hardware module contains:density position detection, density motor control and CAN communication design method.(4) Software design of control system mainly contains:the density signal ADC sampling program design, the drive motor control program design and CAN communication program design.Combed with the above of the new density adjustment mechanism, the thesis carried out the experimental study of the control system by using the CS2-525computerized knitting machine for debugging machine in our laboratory, and verified by experiments proved that the results of the research projects to meet the basic functions of the dual system computer knitting machine and technology requirements.The research projects provide a new type of design ideas for the density of the adjusting mechanism of computer knitting machine at home and abroad, as well as replace the current multi-system computer knitting machine density adjustment device, and provides practical products also lay a good foundation. The topic research provides a reference for the core components of the innovative research of knitting machinery.
