In this paper, the two-step method was used to made the film of Polyimide. Atfirst, compound pyromellitic dianhydride (PMDA) and4,4′-Diaiminodiph-enyl ether(ODA) to made of polyamic acid (PAA), Through the methods of temperaturegradient thermal can get the film of Polyimide(PI). Then the inorganic nanoparticleszinc oxide(ZnO) was dopped into the polyamic acid by in situ blending method, andthe PI/ZnO hybrid film was obtained by. The film is tested by Infrared spectroscopy,UV spectroscopy, electroluminescence(EL) and electrical breakdown performance.From the results of the test, we can get: the final temperature of thermalimidization of the polyimide and hybrid polyimide is320℃and350℃respectively.Infrared spectral analysis shows that we get polyimide hybrid completely.Polyamide acid characteristic peak is3269cm-1, the characteristics of polyimideabsorption peaks is1780cm-1. UV-VIS Absorption shows that the pure polyimidefilm band gap is likely with the polyimide film of DuPont (Kapton100HN film). Asthe amounts of zinc oxide doping increase, the absorption edge of the polyimidemoving at different degreed of wavelength, band gaps decrease in turn. The likelyreason is that zinc oxide and polyimide formed the conjugate dsystem. The ELspectral characteristics curve shows the same and differences feature between thepolyimide film and Kapton film. In the EL intensity and field strength curve, Kaptonfilm’s prebreakdown field strength is higher than selfmade film, which is theenvironmental factors in the preparation process, the dust in the air into thehomemade films, the electrical breakdown properties is influenced. In the EL spectraof Zinc oxide hybrid polyimide films, electrical aging start differently for differentcontent of polyimide hybrid films, with the increasing in doping concentration, theelectrical aging field strength becomes larger, prebreakdown field strength becomessmaller. In the spectrum, the wavelength characteristics, with the amount differenceof doping, polymer lightemitting position is changed.
