AlN, with special crystal chemistry structure, has attracted wide attentionsfrom the scholars, owing to its proprieties of high thermal conductivity, highelectrical resistivity, low dielectric constant and dielectric loss, as well as lowthermal expansion coefficient close to that of silicon. While the incrustationdegree of AlN product is not high.The main reasons that delay the furtherapplication of AlN are its high reaction temperature and high production cost.Hence, fundamental investigations on the AlN application require to bestrengthened. AlN nano-wires was synthesized in this study, and decreasingsynthesis temperature, holding time, ratio of raw materials and add metalpromoter were discussed to improving its synthesis conditions.In this study, we took AlCl3and NaN3as starting materials to synthesis AlNby solid phase manufacture method. X-ray diffraction (XRD) results showedwhen reaction temperature at450℃, with holding time is24、20、16、12or8hours,hexagonal AlN can be synthesized, and the main peak lies in2θ=33.18,and there is no obvious impurity peaks. Scan electron microscope (SEM) resultsrevealed that the crystal boundary of AlN grows well without reunionphenomenon, and the average particle size is100nm around. Transmissionelectron microscopy (TEM) results shown that the surface of AlN nanowires issmoothly without attachments and it present long linear crisscross state, withdegree of a more even about20nm around in diameter. Photo luminescence (PL)analysis showed that: AlN have a strong emission peak at a wavelength of439nm, and corresponding to the AlN band gap width2.95eV, corresponding to.Infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) results revealed that the Infrared absorption peakslocate at731cm-1caused by Al-N vibration is agreement with single crystalnano-AlN. Hence, we can see that the main phase of the samples is AlN by the mean of FT-IR except XRD.All analysis above shown that the effect of the holding time on crystallizationdegree of AlN is small, but the effect of heating time on AlN synthesization is big;the crystallization degree increasing with the holding time increasing; Its crystalboundary grown better,and its morphology changed with metal catalysts adding.We can get AlN nanowires with Mg powder added, and AlN nanorods with Znpowder added.
