Using roasting process to dispose low carbon material, for completing the process of decarburization and recycling the energy, has the important project application value. In this paper, we build a test platform, deeply research and analyze the characteristic of flame propagation speed of RHA(rice husk ash) in fixed bed. Then we design a RHA decarbonization device for producing silica fume by decaburizing the slag of rice husk boiler, also we succeed in recycling the heat.The test platform is mainly composed by a combustion chamber, the wind chamber, the metering equipment, the cooling system and so on. The vertical column combustion chamber inside diameter is100mm, the main body height of the platform is approximately1000mm.By cold-state experiment, we check out the gas tightness of the system and resistance characteristics of no-load air distribution plate. When the ignition tests, to the RHA ignition process in the temperature distribution, the gaseous component carries on the analysis. And studies the amount of RHA FCad(fixed carbon) and the amount of wind to the temperature distribution, the flame propagation speed and the amount of slag FCad influence. Finally indicated:when the amount of wind is20m3/h, along with the amount of RHA FCad increase, the time reduction which the complete combustion needs, the flame propagation speed accelerates; After a series of preliminary experiment, choose a suitable amount of wind for the need of the amount of slag FCad, and adjust the test platform, when the amount of blower and induced draft fan wind is1m3/h and2m3/h, the flame propagation speed and amount of slag FCad slow up along with the amount of RHA FCad reduces, the amount of RHA FCad bellows11%can’t sustain the process of decarburization, consideration of the time and the amount of slag FCad, the RHA with15%FCad is the most reasonable material for producing silica fume, in this conditions, the flame propagation speed is0.107mm/s, and the amount of the slag FCad is0.73%.To expand the application of the test platform, we conduct some related experimental research about carlin type of gold ore with a small amount of FCad.Accordion to the experiment data of the test platform, we design a RHA decarbonization device in the industry field, the designment mainly includes configuration, air distribution plate, cooling system, wind plenum, lectotype of air blower, charging system, its structure is similar to the test platform in the laboratory. After the completion of constructing device, we conduct a series of experiments about decaburizing the slag of rice husk boiler and running test of the scale of production, finally we get the silica fume which meets the standard. The device can be applied to industry on a large scale for the production of silica fume, the device will bring huge economic benefit to the enterprise, on the other hand, reduce the pollution to the environment.
