The research object of this experiment was passivation retirement single-base powder. The main composition was nitrocellulose. There were four parts in this experiment, including aerobic composting exploration experiment, high efficiency degradation bacteria screening and strengthening degradation experiment and added fungus agent compost experiment.Aerobic compost is the biodegradation and stabilization process. In aerobic composting, there were nine different groups. In first three groups, the temperature of compst with the powder was close to room temperature. It indicated that the inhibition effect was obvious with more gunpowder. In different ingredients groups, from group four to eight, change of compost temperature was only slight fluctuation. Change of moisture content was about5%. Carbon and nitrogen ratio didn’t attain the indicator. Seed germination index and pH both changed a little. Compared with blank group9, all the parameters were not obvious.Two methods were used to screening efficient degradation strains. First, gunpowder extract was the only carbon source. The second method was breeding high efficiency cellulose degradation bacterium group and domesticateing these bacteria with gunpowder extract. Four pure bacterium A1, A2, A3, A4and three groups of mixed bacteria B1, B2, B3were screened. The degradation effect of bacterium A2was superior to other bacteria. COD degradation rate reached72.54%. The bacterium A2was identified to be Alcaligenes faecalis.In strengthening degradation, optimum degradation conditions were:30℃, pH7.0and speed was150r/min. In this condition, COD degradation rate of the liquid reached74.18%. Almost all added metal ion Cu2+, Hg+, Zn2+, Mn2+had great influences on degradation ability of strains, especially Hg2+. And improving the degradation environment by regulating pH, the degradation of the substrate was more conducive.In added fungus agent compost, the temperature was increased and appeared obvious high temperature in blank, added fungus agent groups. Moisture content was decreased around47%and carbon and nitrogen ratio was below20separately. The change of pH was obvious. Seed germination index reached100%. In no fungus agent treatment group, all changes wrer not obvious. The correlation analysis showed that the carbon and nitrogen ratio, moisture content and seed germination index could be used as control indicators together.Summary, the targeted microbe played a key role to gunpowder degradation.
