Study On Dalian Ecological Risk Assessment And Its Management Strategy

Ecological risk assessment are developed by environmental risk assessment. Ecologicalrisk assessment is the process, include conduct probability assessment of adverse ecologicaleffects, and to prevent or reduce the risk, implement risk management. Its purpose is tominimize damage of pollution and ecological degradation, and provide scientific informationfor risk management, which is mainly by means of ecological risk assessment. As the place ofthe most human activities, the main research objects of the cities of ecological risk assessmentare the complex ecosystem of society system, economy system and nature system.Dalian is located at the most southern of the Liaodong peninsula. It is the most importantport of Liaoning province and even northeast foreign trade and important internationalshipping center, international logistics center, the regional financial center of northeasternarea. So the problem of ecological security of Dalian is very important for urban construction.Ecological issues of Dalian include natural factor, such as geological hazard(flood anddrought, and landslides) and meteorological hazard(cold wave),and all kinds of pollution anddamage to the environment by human oneself production and living. This paper mainlyresearched the problem of ecological risk of Dalian. Firstly, this paper identify the ecologicalrisk source in the urbanization process; secondly, this paper constructs indicator system ofecological risk assessment of Dalian,and measure and calculate the ecological risk indicatorof Dalian from2004to2008by Natural disasters and disaster factor index method ofweighted Comprehensive indicator; at the last, this paper analyses the change of ecologicalrisk of Dalian on four factors such as risk factor, exposure factor, vulnerability factor anddisaster prevention and mitigation capacity factor.The results showed that ecological risk index has significantly increased of Dalian inthese five years. It is showed the probability of ecological risk of Dalian resulted fromdisasters occur is increased. The results of this paper may provide the references forecological risk of Dalian.
