Polyamidoamine dendrimers of different generations (PAMAMM) were synthesized bydivergent method with ethylenedimine core. The reaction process was monitored by doublebond of the content and amine value. The structures of synthetic products were characterizedby infrared spectrum. The results indicate that the products are in conformity with theirtheory structures.The polyamidoamine dendrimers contained Hydrophilic group (amidogen) andhydrophobic group(alkyl), so in theory PAMAM and it’s derivatives had certain surfaceactivity and interfacial activity. The research indicates that minimum surface tension valuesof PA products were61.13mN/m、52.17mN/m、45.12mN/m. Along with the increase ofproduct branched degrees each generation product surface activity increased. The order of thesurface activity of high and low was PA-0.5G<PA-1.5G <PA-2.5G. PB products were nothad surface activity. The surface tension values of PN products were35.15mN/m、32.78mN/m、31.17mN/m when the products added amount for0.05g/L, the order of surfaceactivity was PN-1.0G <PN-2.0G<PN-3.0G. The surface tension values of PQ products were42.12mN/m、36.70mN/m、33.86mN/m when the products added amount for0.05g/L, theorder of surface activity was PQ-1.0G<PQ-2.0G<PQ-3.0G.The interfacial tension values of PB products were between14~18mN/m when theproducts added amount for0.4%, the order of interfacial activity was PB-1.0G <PB-2.0G<PB-3.0G. The interfacial tension values of PN products were between3~5mN/m whenthe products added amount for0.3%, the order of interfacial activity was PN-1.0G<PN-2.0G<PN-3.0G. The interfacial tension values of PQ products were between5~8mN/mwhen the products added amount for0.3%The research show that PAMAM has the very good interface activity, The paperPAMAM derivatives of application performance were studied, including emulsificationperformance, inhibition performance, scale Inhibition, demulsification. The results show thatPAMAM and it’s derivatives all had certain emulsification, corrosion inhibition, demulsifica-tion, and the derivants were better than PAMAM.
