As a novel fluorescence nanomaterial, the fluorescence silver nanoparticles possess the advantages for good photo stability, high photobleaching threshold, broad excitation spectrum, large Stokes shift, low cytotoxicity, good biocompatibility and small size etc. These advantages make it possess broad outlined application in biological labeling and imaging, biosesors and chemical sensors. This thesis focuses on two main contents as following:(1) A near-infrared-emitting highly fluoresecnt silver nanoparticles have been synthesized in ploy(crylic acid) template at room temperature by a simple method. The emission wavelength of silver nanoparticles is tunable by UV irradiation time. The formation mechanism was explored by a series of analytical methods. The special optical phenomena may be caused by the change of microenvironment in nanoclusters followed by the variance of the diameter of the silver nanoparticles.(2) The fluorescent silver nanoclusters was first developed as a probe to detect hypochlorous by the electrophilic substitution reaction between hypochlorite and silver nanoclusters. The probe is expected to be used for online detection of the organism.
