With the amount of petroleum becoming less and less and the quality becoming lower and heavier, it is significant to optimize the technology of delayed coking. It is more convenient and reliable to optimize the technology of delayed coking with SOL (structure oriented lumping) which is a lump in molecular size. Paper researched the delayed coking technology and its SOL model.First, paper simulated the molecular content of Tahe residua, building the molecular library that is suitable to Tahe residua, simulating the molecular content by cutting the feedstock and testing relevant properties. It is proved that the lump with7004molecules can reflect the properties of residua properly. After the reaction rules being made and the rate constant calculated with theoretical method, the distribution of products was obtained by resolving the kinetic equation, which is the process of model building of delayed coking structure oriented lumping. The SOL model of delayed coking has a good adaptability in terms of different feedstock and different processing conditions and good predictability to the yield of products with the relative error less than10%, the predicted result to coking is best with error less than6%, while result to wax oil is worst with the largest relative error to9.24%.The delayed coking technology of Tahe residua was studied in experimental device, results indicating the experimental data is close to industrial data which proved the reliabilities of the experimental device. According to the characteristic of Tahe residua, the processing scheme was come up with based on experimental results, operating with high recycle ratio to produce less wax oil with poor quality so as to increase the yield of gasoline and diesel. The delayed coking technology of Tahe residua mixed with waste grease and its SOL model was studied, simulated results keeping a good consistency to experimental results. The results indicated that at the optimized mixing rate8%, coke dropped by2.88%, yield of gasoline and diesel was over linear correlatd result by0.27%, yield of liquid product was over linear correlatd result by0.23%, while the yield of gas increased, the yield of gas increased by4.66percentage points with8%waste grease mixed.of which ethane and methane increased by1.24%,1.62%respectively. Mixing waste grease can bring down the coking tendency of residua in furnace tube, increasing the processing capacity which has some economic benefits.
