Screw compressor interstage cooler is widely used in the petroleum, chemical and other production process. As one of the heat exchanger, compressor intercooler is a key equipment of a fluid compression delivery device. intermediate cooler cooling effect will directly influence the working conditions of compressor at the next lower level. If the cooling capacity is insufficient, not only can create a large amount of electric energy waste, but also to the safe operation of compressor and the service life of the compressor caused by larger threat. Medium petrophysical parameters has played a important role in the design of the heat exchanger. because screw compressor interstage cooler involves the gas liquid two phase flow not miscibility, it bring very great difficulty for the the design of the heat exchanger. Therefore to establish gas liquid not miscibility two phase heat transfer calculation model has important significance.According to the flow state of immiscibility gas-liquid in heat exchanger, and comprehensive utilization of fluid mechanics and heat transfer, the establishment of flow type division method of two phase flow, through the thermal mechanism analysis of gas-liquid, on the basis of homogeneous model, he "points at" is put forward,get the average physical property parameter calculation model for two phase in shell side. Through the Fluent software, numerical simulation has been used for flow and heat transfer of the immiscibility gas-liquid in the shell side. Grasps the two phase flow characteristics in the heat exchanger, get two phase flow in the shell side of pressure, velocity and volume fraction distribution. According to the gas-liquid immiscibility under the conditions of heat transfer characteristics of the heat exchanger, the actual evaluation, obtained the reasonable experimental results, through the data contrast, verified the correctness of theoretical calculation model.This paper through the gas-liquid immiscibility research and numerical simulation, obtained the calculation system, and the calculation has been provided for the design of compressor interstage cooler.
