The Cosmetics are usually made of oil soluble and water soluble compositions after the emulsion which made grease, cream, emulsion, and added a variety of nutritional composition and efficacy material, and in the storage and use process which is easy to instability, nutrient which occured frequently metamorphism, making cosmetics damage. Therefore, it is a very important research subject that improves the stability of the cosmetics.Both at home and abroad it have reported in the literature that in cosmetics making use of cyclodextrins can improve the raw materials stabilizing in cosmetics formula system; add the active ingredients more stable in cosmetics; Make the emulsion preparation more stable; Make add in cosmetics of volatile material stability; Improve the lipotropy substance solubility of cosmetics in the aqueous. This is the one of the hot research fields.This research topic which is selected hydroxypropyl–beta-cyclodextrin as stabilizer, by through all kinds of optimization formula experiments, improving cosmetic emulsion stability and increasing the lipotropy substance solubility of cosmetics in the aqueous of the purpose. The main research contents include:1. Establish evaluation system of cosmetic product stability. With the national standards as the foundation, in view of the different products and different formula systems which is proposed the concrete evaluation method and index, carrying through evaluation of cosmetics stability emphatically from the pH value, centrifugal separation, room temperature storage, heat resistance, cold resistance and illumination resistance etc.. The evaluation results to guide formulation experiment.2. Research on improving stability of cosmetics by using cyclodextrins. It Plans to study system for oil-in-water emulsion products and water-in-oil types of cream products, respectively using three kinds of emulsifier in the formulation.3. Research on improving nutrition additive stability of cosmetics by using cyclodextrins.It is selected for the experiment of nutrition additive that is vitamin C and hydroquinone, and plans to study system for oil-in-water emulsion products and water-in-oil types of cream products.4. Research on improving volatile material stability of cosmetics by using cyclodextrins.It is selected for the experiment of volatile matter that is menthol.and plans to study system for oil-in-water emulsion products and water-in-oil types of cream products.5. Research on improving lipotropy substance in the aqueous solubility of cosmetics by using cyclodextrins.It is chose for experimental lipotropy matter that is menthol and vitamin A,and plans to study system for transparent water aqua products and gel products.This article from the four aspects is proceeding research on improving stability of cosmetics by using cyclodextrins and their derivatives. Get conclusions as follows that:1. Although there is no advantage of hydroxypropyl–beta-cyclodextrin in the cost, its inclusion with wider range,there are very excellent performance of water soluble no matter in acidic or alkaline conditions, which is very safe for the biological, basically retained given beta-cyclodextrin characteristic, whether oil-in-water system or nor water-in-oil system, its stability and beautiful of paste appearance is rather ideal. Comprehensive comparative, it is more superior than beta-cyclodextrin.2.There are experiment research results on improving stability of cosmetics emulsion by using cyclodextrins show that cyclodextrins aren`t affected from oil-in-water or water-in-oil system influence, not affected by emulsifier to the influence of different kinds, which can improve the stability of the emulsion, appropriately raise the emulsion thickness. On12formulas for comprehensive evaluation, using oil-in-water system of formula (2) and water-in-oil system formula (4) are more superior. It is likely to be through the lower surface tension (add hydroxypropyl-beta-cyclodextrin) on hydroxypropyl-beta-cyclodextrin stability effect, the realization of function which makes decentralized system potential energy drop down. 3. There are experiment research results on improving stability of cosmetics nutrition additive by using cyclodextrins show that cyclodextrins inclusion nutrition additive in cosmetics two kinds of system performance expressive performance is not the same., inclusion material heat-resisting stability and resistance to light performance will be more strong in EM-17and EM-90system than in FD-17system, the ability inclusion of vitamin C is more strong than inclusion of hydroquinone. Cyclodextrins whether to oil-in-water or water-in-oil system can improve the nutrition additive in the cosmetics stability, and does not destroy the original paste. Cyclodextrins whether to oil-in-water or water-in-oil system, regardless of clathration nutrient, what can be more or less in the cosmetics improve nutrition additive stability, and does not destroy the original paste. On30formulas for comprehensive evaluation,it`s a little more superior in the oil-in-water system of formula (3) and water-in-oil system formula (23). There are experiment research results on improving stability of cosmetics volatile material stability by using cyclodextrins show that cyclodextrins in cosmetics two kinds of system expressived performance is the same,not affected by oil-in-water or water-in-oil system, not affected by emulsifier of different kinds. Cyclodextrins whether to oil-in-water or water-in-oil system can improve the cosmetics in the stability of the volatile substance, and does not destroy the original paste. Cyclodextrins whether to oil-in-water or water-in-oil system, inclusion volatile material release rate are more stable, and does not destroy the original paste. On12formulas for comprehensive evaluation,it`s a little more superior in the oil-in-water system of formula (2) and water-in-oil system formula (8). Insoluble in water of menthol and vitamin A by HP-beta-CD inclusion can soluble in water aqua system and gel system, its inclusion menthol of dissolving capacity is stronger than inclusion vitamin A. On10formulas for comprehensive evaluation,it`s a little more superior in the water aqua system of formula (3) and gel system formula (8). Hydroxypropyl-beta-cyclodextrin improve the dissolving capacity of lipotropy substance in water-based cosmetics may be its structure particularity, cavity hydrophobic, cavity external hydrophilic, and hydroxypropyl is through the direct participation in the clathration to improve solubility.6. This paper designed the formulation and operation process is feasible, on improving stability of cosmetics by using cyclodextrins and and their derivatives is maneuverability, which is illuminating for the formula engineers.
