In the process of coal production, dust is produced in each link and process, in which, dust concentration is the highest on mining coal face, it is as high as2500-3000mg/m3. Furthermore, the output of cutting dust take about60%, these dust affect the mining safety and the health of workers seriously. Because distribution regularity of dust is not clear, which makes the design and layout of dust removal equipment cannot reach the highest efficiency in reducing dust. In addition, our existing method and equipment of reducing dust have the common problem that is low efficiency in reducing dust. Its main reason is that spray parameters are designed unreasonable, which makes the distribution of spray flow cannot base on the actual producing dust’s situation, thus affecting the efficiency of reducing dust.In order to solve the above problems, this paper bases on the theory of suspension gas-solid two-phase flow and the theory of cutting dust formation. Mathematical model of on-way dust concentration is established. On-way dust distribution is simulated by using the discrete phase model (DPM) in FLUENT, regularity of on-way dust distribution is found. Meanwhile, this paper also bases on the research of the mechanism of ejection extinguishing dust and the influence factors of dust-laying effect, shearer external spray is numerical simulated by using the FLUENT software, influence of different spray parameters on spray particle’s diameter, velocity and concentration distribution is obtained. In order to more accurately draw the relationship between external spray parameters and dust reducing efficiency, mathematical model of external spray’s dust reducing is established, and bases on the model choosing highest efficiency of dust reducing as the goal, spray parameters are optimized by using GA toolbox of MATLAB, making dust removal efficiency improved somewhat on the basis of the original. This paper not only makes enormous contribution for improving environment of mining coal face, but also provides a strong theoretical guidance for setting Spray parameters and analyzing dust removal efficiency.
