Emulsifier wastewater has characteristics of high concentration of COD、oil. It isusually treated by aerobic and physicochemical method, but the treatment of cost ishigh and the quality of outlet water is less efficient, the discharge of pollutants is notin conformity with the state standards. With a view to the characteristics of emulsifierwastewater and the cost of treatment, the experiment treat emulsifier wastewater byUASB process combining with SBR process. It is feasible to treat emulsifier wastewater by UASB reactor under Theexperiment, but the effluent can not meet national standards. On the basis of formerexperiment, the emulsifier wastewater is treated by UASB+SBR system, Thepilotscaleexperiment results as follows:(1)The temperature is controlled at32±2°C,the system improve watervolume load by upgrading the amount of influent water, when the volume load isstable at3.5~5kgCOD/(m3d), the effluent COD concentration can be below1500mg/L, COD removal efficiency can reach more than75%;(2)The UASB system is more resistant shock loading,When the volumetricload reach to7kgCOD/(m3d), COD removal efficiency is still about70%,theeffluent COD concentration is about2000mg/L;(3)In the process of anaerobic systems, removal of Every1kg COD of canproduce about0.55m3of biogas.(4)When influent COD concentration is between800~2500mg/L in the SBRsystem, the removal rate fluctuated between60%to80%, the effluent CODconcentration was still maintained at below500mg/L.
